Job Summary
Cut and assemble materials to specifications using power tools, hand tools, and industrial forklifts. Operate CNC equipment and use tape measures, squares, and protractors to accurately drill holes in metal and wood. Quality check each order to ensure world-class standards before packaging for shipment. Follow all safety standards and procedures while maintaining a clean, organized shop. Work with a sense of urgency to meet short deadlines without compromising quality.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Mechanical inclination and willingness to dive in, get your hands dirty, and work
- Familiarity with a variety of hand tools, electric drills, air tools and preventive maintenance
- Experience in construction, fabrication and metal
- Computer savvy with a basic understanding of computer programs
- Able to be flexible with work schedule, occasional extra hours or weekend work may be required
- Operate industrial forklift
- Follow all safety standards and procedures
- Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
- Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
