Job Summary
Roll, brake, drill, cut, and prepare metal parts according to standard work documents, blueprints, and job order specifications. Safely operate equipment including plate rolls, press brakes, saws, and forklifts while inspecting parts for defects and verifying measurements. Use various tools such as cutting torches, drills, and angle grinders to ensure quality product compliance. Notify the shop foreman of any discrepancies, stage signed-off parts, and maintain a clean, orderly work area. Requires ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs. with appropriate PPE. 1-2 years of welding production plant experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a welding production plant
- Fabrication technical training
- High School/GED diploma
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Continual use of hands, arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials
- Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs without physical restrictions
- Must wear appropriate PPE at all times
- Able to work in hot and cold environments during summer and winter months
- Able to work overtime if needed
- Must be dependable
- Must provide references
- Must have good work history
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a welding production plant with fabrication preferred
