Job Summary
METAL FABRICATOR role involves operating plate roll, press brake, saw, drill press and other finishing tools to fabricate parts per blueprints and work instructions. Responsibilities include inspecting parts for defects, ensuring measurements meet specifications, tagging parts, staging and coordinating with quality for inspection, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and adhering to PPE requirements. Must read and follow job orders and blueprints, safely operate related equipment (forklifts, hoists, bandsaw), and work in a manufacturing environment with potential overtime. Physical duties include standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs; PPE such as safety glasses, face shield, hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe boots are required. Preferred skills include blueprint reading, following standard work practices, knowledge of shop hazards, and past fabrication experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a welding production plant with fabrication preferred
- High School/GED diploma preferred
- Fabrication technical training preferred
- Able to work overtime if needed
- Must be dependable and provide references and good work history
