Job Summary
Metal Fabrication Technician responsible for MIG welding, finishing welded components, assembling and fabricating rail systems and structural metal products, and safely operating fabrication equipment. Must read blueprints and production instructions, maintain quality and dimensional accuracy, and uphold safety standards. Required Qualifications
- Prior experience with MIG welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Working knowledge of welding equipment, fabrication methods, and metalworking practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Basic math and geometry skills for measuring and layout work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality.
- Ability to meet production expectations in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Self-starter who can learn new processes and contribute as part of a team.
- Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Desired Qualifications
- Welding certification (preferred)
- Experience fabricating stair stringers, handrails, porches, guardrails, or similar structural metal products (preferred)
- Background in custom metal fabrication or miscellaneous metals manufacturing (preferred)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening (required)
