Job Summary
Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services; determine material and labor requirements for efficient manufacturing; compute cost factors and prepare estimates for planning, bids, and vendor selection; conduct studies to establish standard hours and cost data; consult with clients and vendors to discuss estimates and resolve issues; may specialize by service/product; plan APQP meetings; CAD experience; identify safety concerns and communicate them; room to grow and opportunity to apply cost-control and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Metal Fabrication or equivalent technical knowledge
- 6 years of experience in metal fabrication
- CAD experience
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment
- Knowledge of metal fabrication machine capabilities
- Experience in estimating time, cost, and labor
- Analytical skills for estimating and cost control
- Excellent communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams
