Job Summary
Metadata / Data Entry Clerk focused on accurately entering and reviewing metadata for a variety of media content (recipes, how-to articles, and related assets) into editorial and commercial platforms. Responsibilities include identifying metadata with data stewards, reviewing assets to capture information such as timing, nutritional details, cuisine type, expertise level, and image rights, ensuring data continuity and quality across schemas, and updating metadata tags per organization guidelines within a CMS/DAM. Requires thorough data-entry skills, attention to detail, ability to maintain accuracy under production pace, and familiarity with metadata tagging for multimedia materials, including recipes and editorial content. Familiarity with DAM and CMS tools, copyediting eye for accuracy, and ability to process substantial information quickly are preferred. The role is part-time and temporary with an hourly rate of $20-$24, located in New York, NY, with hybrid work arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience assigning metadata to how-to print, digital, and video content for editorial and/or commercial platforms
- Excellent keying and data entry skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain consistent accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining a high level of productivity
- Experience with DAM (Digital Asset Management) and CMS applications
- Possess a copyeditors eye for accuracy and continuity: must be able to spot spelling and grammar errors; must be able to review and correct own work
- Ability to process substantial amounts of information quickly
