Job Summary
Collaborate with classroom teachers to work with small groups of students, assisting those in need of intervention or enrichment while maintaining related records. Build background knowledge and reinforce learning concepts to help students reach academic goals and grade level standards. Conduct assessments under supervision to evaluate instructional needs and report student progress and observations to assist in implementing instructional plans. Organize instructional materials for small groups and support students with special needs by adapting tasks to their IEP goals. Supervise students during class, between classes, lunch, recess, and field trips as needed. Assist with transitions, eating, and personal hygiene, while supporting life skills necessary for independent living. Participate in meetings and professional learning, and adhere to all established policies and confidentiality requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent
- Experience working in an educational environment (substitute teaching, tutoring, etc.)
