MES Engineer

Job Summary
Develop and enhance Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) by assessing current capabilities, gathering requirements, and performing gap analysis to align with 4th Industrial Revolution technologies. Lead implementation of MES solutions, define functional specifications through client interviews, and manage project schedules while reporting progress against technical deliverables. Engage IT personnel, plant staff, and vendors to resolve application issues, support solution architectures, and establish technical approaches for complex MES projects. Travel up to 50% locally and internationally to assist in external customer problem resolution and define future opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Technology or equivalent experience
- At least 7 years of IT experience
- Minimum 4 years' experience in industrial software services functions
- Minimum 4 years' experience designing or implementing MES applications (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
- Experience in designing or implementing MES traceability and quality applications
- Experience with one or more of the following systems– Red Viking Argonaut, Inductive Automation - Ignition, SAP, Oracle, Siemens and Allen Bradley
- Must be willing to travel up to 50%, both locally and internationally
- English (fluency in reading, writing and speaking)
