Job Summary
Develop, customize, and maintain Critical Manufacturing MES applications using C#/.NET Core, configuring functionality across backend, frontend, and equipment integration layers. Build reusable, scalable software components and integrate manufacturing equipment using industry-standard protocols including OPC, OPC UA, SECS/GEM, MQTT, HSMS, TCP/IP, RS-232, FTP, and REST APIs. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure system reliability while supporting factory automation and real-time shop-floor connectivity initiatives. Requires 8+ years in C#/.NET Core, 4+ years in equipment integration, and Critical Manufacturing MES certification. Based in Sweden with travel requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in C#/.NET Core software development
- Minimum 4 years of experience in high-level equipment integration using OPC and/or SECS/GEM standards
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Critical Manufacturing MES, including backend, frontend, and equipment integration customization
- Critical Manufacturing MES Developer and Connect IoT Certification
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Willingness to work from the customer location in Sweden and travel as required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, robotics, medical device, or advanced manufacturing industries
- Strong understanding of manufacturing production processes and factory automation
- Experience working with Agile software development methodologies
- Experience leading small technical teams or mentoring developers
- Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of software architecture, scalability, and performance optimization
