Job Summary
The Merrill Associate Client Relationship Manager (ACRM) role supports Merrill Wealth Management goals by delivering exceptional client service and managing the client experience within the Market. The position serves as a training role to learn and understand the CRM responsibilities before transitioning to a full CRM role, reporting to the Division Client Relationship Manager with dual oversight from the Market Executive. Responsibilities include promoting client satisfaction while balancing risk, reviewing and approving client documents and transactions as delegated by the Office Management Team, and assisting in the development and management of the Market's Client Associates and Service Support Staff. The role also involves exposure to Merrill Products & Services, trend analysis, risk assessment, Human Resources, and broader industry knowledge, and it emphasizes leadership and training of staff to support day-to-day client operations (Funds/Securities Receipt & Processing, Wire & Order, Document Control). A strong emphasis is placed on client-centric service, effective communication, and contributing to revenue growth and risk management, with on-site expectations and potential flexibility based on role-specific needs. Note: Internal employees currently working from home remain eligible to apply, but in selected cases the role may require onsite work in accordance with workplace policies.
Required Qualifications
- Series 7 (SIE, 7 Top-Off) AND Series 66 (or Series 63 AND Series 65)
- Series 9 AND Series 10 (or Series 8) or equivalent licenses
- SIE strongly preferred
- If unlicensed, must pass the AP Reasoning Assessment
- Minimum 3-5 years financial services experience preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory, supervisory, and corporate policies and procedures
- Investment product knowledge (e.g., 401K, Options, Annuities, Tax, Retirement Plans, Money Funds, Mutual Funds)
- Good organizational skills, including the ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize tasks
- Previous experience managing a team of at least 10 (plus negotiating, supervising, delegating)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
