Job Summary
Conduct thorough, impartial merit reviews of grant applications for broadband deployment on Tribal Land and programs supporting remote learning, telework, and telehealth. Evaluate proposals for value, quality, and likelihood of success using pre-established criteria while maintaining objectivity and independence. Work within a team to ensure efficient completion against stringent deadlines, adhering to quality assurance practices and attending all required trainings. Perform reviews mid-December 2026 through spring 2027.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or has equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of consulting and/or directly relevant industry experience
- Technical understanding and two or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Deployment of fiber, wireless, satellite, or similar telecommunications technology
- Technical understanding and two or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Broadband network design and/or engineering
- Technical understanding and two or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Distance learning, telehealth, telework, and/or workforce development program design and/or implementation
- Technical understanding and two or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Digital inclusion program design and/or implementation
- Similar technical background or expertise to those listed above
- US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability
- Merit Reviewers are required to reveal any conflicts of interest (real or apparent) prior to conducting a merit review
Desired Qualifications
- Direct exposure and/or participation with financial assistance programs (i.e., Federal, State, local, Tribal), including but not limited to policy development, execution, and grants administration
- Previous experience with Native American, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian communities
