Job Summary
Lead M&A transactions in public and private company mergers, acquisitions, and strategic deals within the technology and life sciences sectors. Draft definitive transaction agreements, supervise junior associates, coordinate with subject matter experts, and lead negotiations with transaction counterparties. Manage client relationships and oversee all aspects of strategic transactions as a full-time associate. This role is exclusive to lateral candidates with 6-8 years of experience at large national firms, focusing on elite M&A practice groups. Successful applicants must possess top-tier academic credentials and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. The firm offers a competitive salary range of $390,000-$435,000, merit bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including childcare support, 401(k) matching, and CLE coverage. Candidates may work in New York, Palo Alto, San Francisco, or Seattle.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years M&A with Large National Firm
- Maximum 8 years attorney experience
- Lateral candidates only
- Currently practicing in this same practice group
- JD Education Required
- Experience drafting definitive transaction agreements
- Leading the M&A team
- Supervising more junior M&A associates
- Leading negotiations with transaction counterparties
- Full-time M&A associate
- Superior academic credentials
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
