Job Summary
Conduct senior practicum hours in the Operating Room at Mercy Hospital STL as a Mercy coworker while earning a stipend. Work alongside a dedicated nurse across service lines including General Surgery, GYN, Specialty, and ENT. Complete a 5-month residency with classroom didactics, online modules, and hands-on clinical practice in both circulating and scrub roles, followed by a 30-minute call rotation. Requires a current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and acceptance into an RN residency program. Must commit to a 6-month post-graduation contract.
Required Qualifications
- MUST accept an RN residency in the Operating Room
- 6-month contract post-graduation is required
- Nursing degree from an accredited school
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri
- BLS required
- Must start with Mercy within 12 months of graduation
- Residency length: 5 months
- Mentorship: 1 additional month
- Residency hours, Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm
- 30-minute call time requirement
