Job Summary
Conduct senior practicum hours in the Operating Room at Mercy St. Louis Hospital as a Mercy coworker while working alongside a dedicated nurse. Complete a 5-month residency followed by a 1-month mentorship, gaining hands-on clinical practice in circulating and scrub roles across General Surgery, Gyn, Specialty, and ENT service lines. Participate in classroom didactics and online learning modules, with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm, and a 30-minute call time requirement. This 6-month post-graduation contract supports nursing students from accredited schools earning a stipend during their final practicum.
Required Qualifications
- MUST accept an RN residency in the Operating Room to qualify!
- 6-month contract post-graduation is required.
- Nursing degree from an accredited school
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri
- BLS required
- Must start with Mercy within 12 months of graduation
- Residency hours, Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm
- 30-minute call time requirement
