Job Summary
Conduct senior practicum hours in the Operating Room as a Mercy coworker while receiving comprehensive training in circulating and scrub roles across general surgery, GYN, orthopedics, and neuro services. Complete a five-month residency followed by one month of mentorship, utilizing classroom didactics, online modules, and hands-on clinical practice under the supervision of a dedicated nurse. Work Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm with a 30-minute call requirement. This six-month post-graduation contract supports nursing students from accredited schools like Maryville University and Mizzou to transition into confident, well-rounded OR professionals at our Level I Trauma Center.
Required Qualifications
- MUST accept an RN residency in the Operating Room to qualify
- 6-month contract post-graduation is required
- Nursing degree from an accredited school
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri
- BLS required
- Must start with Mercy within 12 months of graduation
