Job Summary
Conduct senior practicum hours in the Operating Room at Mercy St. Louis Hospital, transitioning from nursing student to paid coworker while working alongside a dedicated nurse mentor. Complete a 5-month residency program covering classroom didactics, online modules, and hands-on clinical practice in circulating and scrub roles across General Surgery, GYN, Specialty, and ENT service lines. Maintain a Monday-Friday 7am-3pm schedule with a 30-minute call time requirement. This 6-month post-graduation contract supports students from participating schools in becoming confident OR nurses within a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center.
Required Qualifications
- MUST accept an RN residency in the Operating Room to qualify
- 6-month contract post-graduation is required
- Nursing degree from an accredited school
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri
- BLS required
