Job Summary
Conduct senior practicum hours in the Operating Room as a Mercy coworker while working alongside a dedicated nurse mentor. Complete classroom didactics, online learning modules, and hands-on clinical practice across general surgery, gyn, specialty, and ENT service lines. Transition into a specialty mentorship following the 5-month residency and 1-month mentorship period. Work Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm with a 30-minute call rotation. This program is designed for nursing students at accredited schools who must accept an RN residency and commit to a 6-month post-graduation contract.
Required Qualifications
- MUST accept an RN residency in the Operating Room to qualify
- 6-month contract post-graduation is required
- Nursing degree from an accredited school
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri
- BLS required
- Must start with Mercy within 12 months of graduation
