Job Summary
Conduct senior practicum hours in the Operating Room at Mercy St. Louis Hospital while working alongside a dedicated nurse mentor. Complete classroom didactics, online learning modules, and hands-on clinical practice across service lines including General Surgery, GYN, Ortho, Neuro, and ENT. Transition into a specialty mentorship following the 5-month residency and 1-month orientation. Maintain a Monday-Friday 7am-3pm schedule with a 30-minute call time requirement. This program is designed for nursing students completing their practicum to earn a stipend while qualifying for an RN residency. A 6-month post-graduation contract is required.
Required Qualifications
- MUST accept an RN residency in the Operating Room to qualify!
- 6-month contract post-graduation is required.
- Nursing degree from an accredited school
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri
- BLS required
- Must start with Mercy within 12 months of graduation
