Job Summary
Conduct senior practicum hours in the Operating Room at Mercy St. Louis Hospital's Level I Trauma Center, working alongside dedicated nurses across General Surgery, Gyn, Specialty, and ENT service lines. Complete 5 months of residency including classroom didactics, online modules, and hands-on clinical practice in circulating and scrub roles, followed by a 30-minute call rotation. This 6-month post-graduation contract requires an RN license, BLS certification, and acceptance into the Operating Room RN Residency Program. Participants receive a stipend for practicum time and transition into specialty mentorship after graduation.
Required Qualifications
- MUST accept an RN residency in the Operating Room to qualify
- 6-month contract post-graduation is required
- Nursing degree from an accredited school
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri
- BLS required
- Must start with Mercy within 12 months of graduation
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm
- Must be able to work 30-minute call time
