Job Summary
Conduct senior practicum hours in the Operating Room at Mercy Hospital STL while working alongside a dedicated nurse mentor. Complete classroom didactics and online learning modules to master circulating and scrub roles across General Surgery, Gyn, Specialty, and ENT service lines. Participate in a five-month residency followed by one month of mentorship, then transition into specialty-focused training. Maintain Monday-Friday 7am-3pm shifts with a 30-minute call requirement. Hold a current Missouri RN license and BLS certification. This program offers a stipend for students from participating schools who commit to a six-month post-graduation contract.
Required Qualifications
- MUST accept an RN residency in the Operating Room to qualify
- 6-month contract post-graduation is required
- Nursing degree from an accredited school
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri
- BLS required
- Must start with Mercy within 12 months of graduation
