Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Test & Treatment providing and overseeing high-quality patient care for assigned pediatric patients. Coordinates care across departments, involves patients and families in care decisions, develops and documents individualized care plans, performs safe patient handoffs (SBAR, bedside report), and communicates effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Interprets diagnostic and lab data to inform care decisions, delegates and guides LPNs and support staff within scope of practice, participates in quality improvement and professional development, and upholds patient rights and Mercy’s values.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Active RN license (or compact) in the state of practice
- BLS (required within 30 days of hire)
- ACLs, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, and more (based on unit needs)
