Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Test & Treatment for Mercy Kids Pediatric unit. Provide and oversee high-quality patient care for pediatric patients; coordinate care across departments; involve patients and families in care decisions and education; develop and document individualized care plans with goals and outcomes; perform safe SBAR handoffs; communicate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams; interpret diagnostic and lab data to inform care decisions; delegate and guide LPNs and support staff within scope of practice; participate in quality improvement, training, and professional development initiatives; uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and Mercy’s values. Requires graduation from an accredited RN program and active RN license in-state, with BLS within 30 days of hire; additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON may be required based on unit needs. Prolonged standing and lifting up to 50 lbs are expected. This is a part-time role at Mercy Kids with opportunities for growth and continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Active RN license (or compact) in the state of practice
- BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)
- Certifications may include ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, depending on unit needs
