Job Summary
CRNA provides direct patient care under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist, including pre-anesthesia evaluations, administering anesthesia, intra-procedural management, post-anesthesia care, and patient education. Responsibilities include obtaining medical histories, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting tests, administering medications, documenting care in the EMR, collaborating with the anesthesia team, participating in quality and safety initiatives, and ensuring equipment readiness and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Active license to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in the state of Iowa
- ACLS certification within 6 months of start date
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter training (dependent adult and child abuse) prior to start or transfer date
- Education sufficient to meet licensure requirements
