Job Summary
Conduct outside sales calls via telephone and in-person meetings to develop new business and fulfill client needs for bankcard services. Determine merchant requirements, offer tailored solutions, and manage the full sales cycle from acquisition to retention. Promote bank products through community events and refer customers to other departments for additional financial services. Provide adequate training to merchants and staff, support equipment requests, and ensure compliance with VISA, MasterCard, and bank policies. Measure performance against agreed goals and benchmarks while maintaining vendor relationships. Requires a valid California driver's license, personal transportation, and ability to travel to customer sites.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of electronic processing of all major credit cards, debit cards, EBT, ATM, and payroll services.
- General knowledge of Merchant Services & ATM / Debit Card industry.
- Knowledge of credit card merchant terminal operation.
- Knowledge and understanding of bank products and services.
- Skills operating a personal computer including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
- Ability to provide personal transportation is required.
- Must maintain valid California driver's licenses
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate's degree in Business Administration or related field
- knowledge typically gained through a minimum of three years' experience in a bank sales role with knowledge of merchant services products
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Ensure all rules, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to VISA and MasterCard and the policies and procedures of the Bank are followed.
- May require travel to customer sites.
