Job Summary
Gatekeep all new merchant data entering Salesforce by rejecting incomplete, inaccurate, or illogical records before they enter the live dataset. Define, apply, and continuously improve data-quality standards, validation rules, and acceptance criteria to protect the integrity of the data pipe. Serve as a key participant in the merchant onboarding process, reviewing opportunity records and providing clear, consistent feedback on why records are declined or required for acceptance. Collaborate with the Onboarding team to embed quality checks within workflows and partner with the Data Architect to enforce hierarchy data standards and sustain ongoing data quality. Monitor data-quality metrics, identify root causes, and drive process improvements to enable a shift from reactive correction to disciplined, quality-by-design capture.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, particularly merchant, account, and opportunity data
- Strong understanding of data-quality principles, validation, and data governance
- Meticulous attention to detail and a low tolerance for incomplete or ambiguous data
- A confident gatekeeper, able to hold the line and return non-compliant records constructively
- A clear communicator who gives actionable feedback to commercial and onboarding stakeholders
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused, and outcome-driven
- Comfortable influencing without direct ownership of source systems
- Collaborative — works effectively across business and technical teams
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the payments, fintech, or financial services industry
- Exposure to data hierarchy, master-data, or data-cleanse programmes
- Familiarity with data-architecture concepts and working alongside data architects
- Reporting and dashboarding for data-quality metrics
