Job Summary
Merchant Consultant responsibilities include generating leads, cold-calling and prospecting potential clients; conducting in-person meetings to determine client needs and presenting customized payment, merchant financing and marketing solutions; performing pricing analysis by assessing clients’ payment processing statements and initiating proposals; following up with potential merchants to review products, services, features, benefits, and terms; closing sales in a timely and effective manner; navigating lead sources to develop and maintain new opportunities; developing sales within the existing client base; building and maintaining relationships with referrals and affiliates; and creating marketing programs to increase sales. The role requires goal-driven, resilient, people-oriented individuals who can work independently and are motivated by results. On-the-job paid training is provided, with benefits including medical, vision, dental coverage, PTO and 401k. Compensation is an exempt position with a probationary monthly salary of $3,900, increasing to $4,333 per month after probation.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Communications, Finance, or related field is preferred
- 2-3 years sales and/or customer service experience required
- Previous experience in the Merchant Service industry is an asset

- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business/Administration/Finance or related field
