Job Summary
Merchant Consultant serves as the first point of contact to clients, presenting payment, merchant financing, and marketing solutions. The role involves generating leads, conducting in-person meetings to assess client needs, performing pricing analysis, initiating proposals, following up on features and terms, closing sales, and developing new sales opportunities within existing client bases. The position emphasizes building relationships with referrals and affiliates, creating marketing programs to increase sales, and working with a team in a growing fintech environment. Requirements include authorization to work in the US (E-Verify), a high school degree or equivalent (Bachelor’s preferred), 2-3 years of sales/customer service experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently with a results-driven mindset. Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire. We are an E-Verify employer
- High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Communications, Finance, or related field is preferred
- 2-3 years sales and/or customer service experience required
- Previous experience in the Merchant Service industry is an asset
- Strong communication skills, critical thinking, detail-oriented, and analytical abilities
- Strong desire to succeed in a competitive market and self-motivated
- Able to work independently and driven by results
