Job Summary
Own the merchandised surface end-to-end for OG.com, deciding hero placements, rotating featured modules, and approving all commercial quality sign-offs. Build and rotate high-intent packages tied to real narratives, making go/no-go calls on what ships during live events. Swap surfaces in real time when the board blows up, partnering with Trading/Risk to maintain speed without sloppiness. Connect the merch calendar to product launches, flagging coverage gaps before stories peak. Prioritize, QA, and instrument A/B tests to prove conversion, cutting losers and elevating winners. Propose and ship competitive responses immediately, not via weekly reports. Handoff cleanly with Market Ops by consuming new listings and feeding unmet demand signals.
Required Qualifications
- Surface merchandising experience (sportsbook or marketplace merchandising: modules, featured, packages) owned end-to-end
- Experience operating live merchandising under pressure (event time: nights, weekends, holidays)
- Ability to describe a specific instance of killing, swapping, and re-featured content in minutes while keeping the surface clean
- Data-informed decision making using SQL, dashboards, or a partner analyst
- Experience walking through a merchandising call reversed due to data
- Experience running or partnering on A/B (or multi-arm) tests for merchandising or discovery
- Ability to explain a test thrown out because it was invalid
- Cross-functional DRI experience aligning Product, Trading/Risk, and Marketing without owning their charters
- Ability to describe a coordinated launch and handling a partner slip
- Domain fluency in event contracts, odds, or prediction UX, or ruthless learning speed to debate power users
Desired Qualifications
- Merchandising experience in MerchOps or Sportsbook (modules, parlays/SGPs, live swaps)
- Experience merchandising event contracts (Predicts/prediction-market context)
- SQL or experimentation tooling experience
- Vertical depth in Sports, politics, or culture
