Merchandising Manager - Sales

Job Summary
Lead the sales merchandising team in managing customer orders through delivery while supporting Sales Managers and establishing strong relationships with Buyers, Merchandisers, and Logistics teams. Establish and manage reporting for customer meetings, budget management, and training your team to handle these responsibilities independently. Liaise with the Senior Sales Manager to report to the Sales Director and offer strategic recommendations to maintain departmental smooth running. Lead customer-facing Critical Paths on Orrsum stock orders to ensure goods arrive on time and maintain deep commercial awareness to meet business budgets and profit margins. Work closely with department heads to communicate customer requirements and standards effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Strong fashion background
- Experience within similar product categories such as Hosiery, Underwear, Loungewear, or related apparel industries
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initial inception through to final completion and delivery
- Demonstrated experience or strong capability in leading, mentoring, and developing a merchandising or sales support team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage tight deadlines and handle customer-facing Critical Paths (CPs) effectively
- Strong negotiation and costing skills
- Commercial acumen to analyze market trends and maintain business profit margins
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel for advanced reporting and budget data management, as well as Word and PowerPoint
- Positive 'can-do' attitude with a solution-oriented mindset when facing operational challenges
- Highly adaptable professional who thrives both when collaborating within a team and when driving accounts independently
