Merchandising Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Lead store operations by performing opening and closing procedures, securing assets, and maintaining sales floor and stockroom standards. Process freight flow, manage DSD merchandise receipt and return, and order frozen and refrigerated stock to meet productivity standards. Assist the Store Manager with planning Clip Strips, Power Panels, and monthly Sales Planners while executing Pull, Hold/Destroy, and Task Compliance directives. Ensure a safe, clean environment through regular restocking, floor maintenance, and trash removal. Maintain professional interactions with customers and associates while adhering to all safety policies and corporate directives.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Prior retail and management experience
- Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior retail and management experience is preferred
