Job Summary
Merchandising Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree supports the Store Manager by leading a team in merchandising and freight processing. Responsibilities include assisting with store functions and daily activities, opening/closing procedures, safeguarding assets, maintaining store areas to standards, executing directives related to stock and freight, ensuring cleanliness and safety, delivering a positive customer experience, and collaborating with leadership. Duties also cover managing freight flow per productivity standards, stocking merchandise (including frozen and refrigerated items), planning and maintaining clip strips and power panels with sales-effective items, and helping implement monthly Sales Planners.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail and management experience is preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
