Job Summary
Merchandising Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree leads with the Store Manager to guide a dynamic team in merchandising, freight processing, and daily store operations. Responsibilities include assisting with all store functions, opening/closing procedures, protecting assets (including cash), enforcing policies and safety guidelines, maintaining clean, stocked areas (stockroom and sales floor), processing directives (Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey), ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff, and executing other assigned duties. Additional duties include processing receipt/return of DSD merchandise, managing freight flow per productivity standards, stocking needs (including frozen/refrigerated items), maintaining an effective sales floor, planning and merchandising with Clip Strips and Power Panels, and implementing monthly Sales Planners. Required skills include strong communication, interpersonal, and written abilities, and the capacity to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent movement in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail and management experience is preferred
