Job Summary
Merchandising Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree works with the Store Manager to lead a dynamic team in merchandising and freight processing. Responsibilities include assisting with all store functions, opening/closing procedures, protecting assets, adhering to policies and safety guidelines, maintaining stockroom and sales floor standards, executing corporate directives related to store activities, ensuring cleanliness and a positive, safe customer-facing environment, and performing other duties as assigned. The role also supports the Store Manager with receiving and returning DSD merchandise, managing freight flow, stocking merchandise (including frozen/refrigerated items), maintaining a sales-effective floor, and planning/implementing monthly Sales Planners. Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team setting.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
