Merchandising Assistant Manager

Merchandising and freight processing support under the Store Manager, focusing on merchandising and processing freight while assisting with day-to-day store functions. Responsibilities include opening and closing procedures, protecting store assets (including cash), maintaining store areas (stockroom and sales floor) to company standards, following corporate directives, ensuring cleanliness and presentation, maintaining a positive, safe environment with customers and associates, and performing other duties as assigned. Additional duties include processing receipt/return of DSD merchandise, managing freight flow, stocking merchandise (including frozen/refrigerated items), ensuring sales-floor effectiveness, planning and merchandising with Clip Strips and Power Panels, and implementing monthly Sales Planners. Skills emphasized include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, prior retail/management experience, ability to lift 30-50 lbs, and the ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
