Merchandising Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities while developing a positive, safe, and customer-focused environment. Support store operations, help customers with questions, organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, and maintain seasonal displays. Participate in opening/closing procedures, process directives, manage stock and inventory-related tasks, support payroll and scheduling, and ensure loss prevention and policy adherence. Assist the Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates, ensuring professional, friendly interactions with customers and team members. Responsibilities include maintaining clean, well-stocked areas, processing merchandise, and contributing to a high-energy, team-oriented retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
