Merchandising Assistant Manager

Merchandising Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree responsible for assisting the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team to execute merchandising strategies, process freight, and uphold store standards. Duties include opening/closing procedures, asset protection, following policies and safety guidelines, maintaining stockroom and sales floor to company standards, executing corporate directives (Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey requests), ensuring cleanliness and presentability, fostering a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff, and performing other assigned duties. Additional responsibilities include assisting with receipt/return of DSD merchandise, managing freight flow, stocking merchandise (including frozen and refrigerated items) per productivity standards, ensuring the sales floor remains sales-effective, and planning/maintaining Clip Strips and Power Panels with merchandise, as well as monthly Sales Planners. Required experience includes prior retail and management experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lift 30-50 lbs and perform physical duties in a high-energy team environment.
