Job Summary
Lead merchandising operations alongside the Store Manager to supervise a dynamic team of associates and execute merchandising and freight-processing duties. Responsibilities include assisting with all store functions, opening/closing procedures, safeguarding assets (including store cash), enforcing policies and safety guidelines, maintaining stockroom and sales floor presentation, processing corporate directives (e.g., Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey requests), and ensuring store cleanliness and a positive, safe customer experience. Additionally, assist the Store Manager with freight management (DSD), inventory flow, merchandising needs (frozen & refrigerated items), stock orders, and implementing monthly Sales Planners. Required skills include strong communication, interpersonal, and written abilities, plus the physical ability to lift 30-50 lbs and perform routine store duties. Required Qualifications
- Prior retail and management experience is preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
