Job Summary
Merchandising Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree collaborates with the Store Manager to lead a team of associates in merchandising, freight processing, and maintaining store standards. Responsibilities include assisting with store functions, opening/closing procedures, protecting assets, following policies and safety guidelines, maintaining stockroom and sales floor areas, executing directives related to freight and inventory, ensuring cleanliness and safe customer interactions, and performing additional duties as assigned. Also supports the Store Manager with freight flow, DSD merchandise receipt/returns, merchandise planning and stocking (including frozen/refrigerated items), maintaining an effective sales floor, and developing monthly Sales Planners and Clip Strips/Power Panels with sales-efficient items. Requires retail/management experience, strong communication skills, and physical ability to lift 30-50 lbs in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail and management experience preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
- Ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and frequent walking/standing/kneeling/climbing/pushing/pulling
