Merchandising Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Conduct store functions and day-to-day activities, including opening and closing procedures, asset protection, and maintaining cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and bathrooms. Process corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy requests, manage DSD merchandise receipt and return, and oversee freight flow in accordance with productivity standards. Order and stock frozen and refrigerated merchandise, ensure the sales floor is sales-effective, and plan Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items. Assist the Store Manager with monthly Sales Planners and maintain professional interactions with customers and associates while adhering to all safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Prior retail and management experience
- Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior retail and management experience is preferred
