Job Summary
As Merchandising Assistant Store Manager at Lowe’s, lead a team to deliver quality customer service in a safe, clean, well-stocked store; anticipate customer flow and work demand, plan for peak periods, and ensure proper coverage. Drive in-stock availability to meet demand, conduct safety walks, coach associates on safe practices, and balance sales, margins, and operational efficiency to maximize customer satisfaction. Collaborate with store leadership, District Manager, and Area support to achieve service, sales, and operational objectives; may rotate through Specialty and Operations assignments for cross-training and development. Travel may be required occasionally for meetings, trainings, or supporting neighboring stores. Requirements include 2 years of retail leadership, 3 years in a fast-paced cross-functional environment, 1 year managing daily store operations, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to obtain any required sales licensure. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, 5 years of experience leading service associates, experience in home improvement retail, knowledge of product categories, and familiarity with store computer systems (Project Tool, Genesis, M2O, Thin Client).
