Job Summary
Lead merchandising and store-operations efforts as Merchandising Assistant Store Manager to achieve sales and margin goals while driving operational efficiencies and delivering exceptional in-store service. Responsibilities include anticipating customer flow, planning for spikes in sales, ensuring proper stock availability, conducting safety walks, coaching associates on safe work practices, and collaborating with the store leadership team and district/area staff. Supervisory duties may include full store leadership rotation and cross-training across Specialty and Operations; travel is occasional for meetings or training. Requires 2+ years retail leadership, 3+ years fast-paced cross-functional experience, and manager-on-duty experience; knowledge of retail systems and ability to obtain required licensure if applicable. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and extensive experience leading service associates in retail or consumer service industries, plus knowledge of home improvement product categories and related store systems.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience leading associates in a retail environment
- 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment
- 1 year of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
