Job Summary

Merchandising Assistant Store Manager at Lowe’s leads a team of associates to deliver quality customer service in a clean, safe, and well-stocked store. Responsibilities include anticipating customer flow and work demand, redirecting schedules to ensure proper coverage, planning for spikes in sales to maintain in-stock position, conducting safety walks, coaching associates on safe practices, and driving sales and margin goals while maximizing overall customer satisfaction. This role may rotate through Specialty and Operations for cross-training and development, collaborates with store leadership, District Manager, and Area support staff to meet service, sales, and operational objectives, and may travel occasionally to meetings or trainings. Typical schedule is salaried and around 48 hours with mornings, afternoons, and evenings available any day of the week. Requires ability to lift 25 pounds and to perform duties that involve standing or sitting for extended periods. Minimum qualifications include 2 years of experience leading retail associates, 3 years in a fast-paced cross-functional environment, 1 year in manager-on-duty responsibilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; licensure or registration as required by law may be pursued. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and additional leadership experience in home improvement retail, along with knowledge of store computer systems (Project Tool, Genesis, M2O, Thin Client). Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience leading associates in a retail environment
  • 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment
  • 1 year of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 5 years of experience leading service associates in a retail or consumer service industry
  • 3 years of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities
  • Experience working in the home improvement retail sector
  • Broad knowledge of interior/exterior product categories
  • Experience working with store computer systems (including but not limited to: Project Tool, Genesis, M2O, Thin Client)
  • If required, salesperson license within sixty (60) days of starting employment
