Job Summary
Merchandiser at Total Wine & More handles product inventory, freight processing, stocking and displays, signage, and supports digital operations including fulfilling online orders and curbside/delivery services. The role includes customer service, product knowledge through wine, spirits, and beer training, adherence to laws governing alcohol sales, and cross-functional duties as assigned. Responsibilities also cover store safety, cleanliness, and assisting with promotions and loyalty programs. The role may involve assisting with deliveries when assigned, and offering a personalized shopping experience to customers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a retail setting preferred
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day
- Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets
- Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly
- Complete understanding of safety and cleanliness standards; comply with alcohol sale laws
