Job Summary
Support the Pre-Order Ops Team by sourcing garments and products that fit client requests and stylistic goals. Evaluate product fit beyond price and availability, build a supplier knowledge base, conduct market research on brands and retail aesthetics, identify recurring gaps and proactively propose solutions, and document sourcing knowledge for team reference. The role emphasizes fashion-aware sourcing, understanding customer demographics, and identifying options across domestic suppliers and overseas manufacturers. Responsibilities include responding to sourcing requests, evaluating recommendations for aesthetic and demographic fit, maintaining supplier data, researching trends, flagging gaps, expanding supplier networks, and collaborating with sales to close opportunities. Requires strong fashion sense, curiosity about the industry, and excellent communication and data tools proficiency. This is a work-from-home/remote position located to operate with US timings (EST). The role offers uncapped potential and room for growth into more senior levels.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1.5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or buying
- Experience in American fashion and apparel
- Ability to evaluate product fit by customer demographic
- Strong research instincts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Comfortable working with data and digital tools including CRM systems, knowledge bases, and spreadsheets
