Job Summary
Manage wholesale sales and gross profit for assigned category and area; establish and maintain relationships with independent customers served by the division; execute merchandising and marketing plans to drive sales; provide staff assistance in sales calls, procurement and merchandising; monitor store performance and program implementation, analyze category data, and train others on data usage to increase sales; collaborate with Category Management and external partners to optimize product assortment and support category programs; act as the local information source for assigned categories and influence teams to improve results; travel up to 15% and work in typical office/distribution environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field (Required)
- MBA preferred
- Two years marketing, category management, product management and/or product development experience
- Experience purchasing in a retail or wholesale environment
- Strong oral and written communication, financial acumen, strategic problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel up to 15%
