Job Summary
Manage apparel production by coordinating with vendors and factories to ensure right quality, price, and on-time delivery. Identify and resolve quality issues and delays in collaboration with QA/QC while reviewing new developments with the Hong Kong Technical team. Visit key supplier mills locally to develop suppliers and manage capacity allocation, then prepare product presentations for customers in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Support regular meetings with China and NY production teams to review status and address challenges, ensuring accurate samples result in orders and competitive quotes. Set performance goals and conduct regular reviews to foster collaboration across diverse teams. Fluent in English and Mandarin with at least 10 years of merchandising experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, or a related field
- At least 10 years of proven experience in merchandising
- Knowledge of Handbag manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for product presentation and visual aesthetics
- Up-to-date on the latest merchandising trends and best practices
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for working across diverse teams
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented and meticulous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe products
