Job Summary
Sort, process, and prepare donated merchandise for display and sale by transferring items from containers, evaluating quality and pricing, and categorizing apparel into boutique, salable, and salvage groups. Place hangers on rolling racks, group similar items, and transport them to the sales floor while recording counts on official logs and daily reports. Assist in collecting and stocking new donations, maintain a clean uniform, and follow safety protocols by reporting hazards to the manager. Work in a high-energy environment meeting productivity quotas with a minimum of six months experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instruction
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally with associates and customers
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours – per 8 hour shift)
- Ability to lift max of 25 lbs pounds frequently
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of six months of previous work experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Previous experience working with merchandise pricing
- Basic computer skills
- Multilingual with proficiency in English
