Job Summary
Sort, process, and prepare donated merchandise for display and sale by transferring items from containers, evaluating quality and pricing, and sorting apparel into boutique, salable, and salvage categories. Place items on hangers, group similar pieces on rolling racks, and transport them to the sales floor while recording counts on official logs and daily reports. Assist in collecting and stocking donations, provide service to donors and customers, and maintain a clean uniform while adhering to safety and security practices. Work a full shift with a pace meeting required productivity quotas, lifting up to 25 lbs frequently.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instruction
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally with associates and customers
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours – per 8 hour shift)
- Ability to lift max of 25 lbs pounds frequently
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of six months of previous work experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Previous experience working with merchandise pricing
- Basic computer skills
- Multilingual with proficiency in English
