Job Summary
The Merchandise Planner formulates seasonal merchandise plans at department and class levels and evaluates them on a rolling review schedule. Responsibilities include developing sales, inventory, and margin forecasts, analyzing performance, and presenting strategies in forecast meetings. The role involves managing subclass/SKU level forecasts, reviewing open-to-buy, and recommending promotional strategies. The planner also conducts periodic reviews of inventories and actively manages the business by identifying sales opportunities. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate with various teams.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of Merchandise Planning experience
- Demonstrated strong retail math skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated business development skills

- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership skills
- System savvy with spreadsheet, word processing, and data analysis tools
