Job Summary
Oversee receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock to ensure items are quickly placed on the sales floor while managing display setup and maintenance for specific store sections. Execute the market plan by arranging products and signage according to corporate guidelines, ensuring promotional materials are displayed properly and updated regularly. Manage the entire process of opening or closing the store, which includes securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and ensuring everything is in place for a smooth daily operation. Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and addressing any urgent issues. Drive store sales and control expenses by actively seeking ways to boost sales through optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service. Support the onboarding and ongoing training of associates, helping them learn store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures. Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require day, evening, weekends, and may include overnight shifts and travel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Minimum 2 years of management experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require day, evening, weekends and may include overnight shifts and travel (as required)
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to perform all essential job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Ability to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
- Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
- Must be able to reach heights of 5-10 feet
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders
- Must be able to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop
- Must be able to communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Must be able to move across the sales floor assisting customers, as well as to and from the stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise
